Background
Education does not only take place in traditional institutions such as schools, adult education centers, and universities but also within families, associations, communities, and churches. There are now very few Holocaust survivors left, and with them, the living testimonies of that time are being lost. Testimonies from survivors, conversations with Holocaust witnesses, and personal encounters with victims of National Socialism play a crucial role in our work of remembrance and education, alongside contemporary historical research and its dissemination.

Die Ermittlung
Making of
After an intensive four-week rehearsal period, 60 actors brought Peter Weiss's text to life on the big screen. Over the course of five shooting days, the individual cantos were filmed at Studio Berlin Adlershof using a sophisticated visual concept, captured in a single take by a total of eight cameras.
